Getting started

Up and running the same day

From choosing a location to logging in over SSH takes about 4 minutes. After payment, check your order and machine status; once the machine is ready, find your connection credentials in its details in the console.

365days a year

4 locations, running year-round

A Mac in the office can mean a trip across town when the power or internet goes down. MiniSSH physical machines run all year, 365 days a year. If something goes wrong, open a ticket in the console and follow its progress in the same place.

Year-round operation is how the service is set up; it doesn’t mean network or hardware issues can’t happen. Our terms explain availability calculations, service credits and how to request them. If you have a connection issue, note when it happened and save the error details.

When something goes wrong

  1. Open a ticket

Sign in to the console and submit a support ticket. If you’re an existing customer, include the relevant order or machine ID.

  2. Share details

Include the machine ID, city and time of the issue. If your team spans time zones, include the time zone too.

  3. Track progress

Whether you can’t connect, a build is stuck or you need a system reinstall, follow updates in your console ticket.

Distributed teams

One team, three ways to work

With teammates across Asia-Pacific and North America, choose the city that best fits your workflow. Keep a year-round environment and move peak workloads to temporary machines.

JP
North AmericaTokyo locationRemote desktop

Remote debugging starts with the right route

Connect to a Tokyo machine from North America through an SSH tunnel and use the macOS desktop to debug your app. Tokyo can suit teams in Japan and North America connecting across the Pacific. Remote desktop performance depends on your local network, so test the connection before committing to a longer rental.

SG

Add a machine for peak build workloads

Keep your year-round machine for day-to-day development, then rent an extra machine in Singapore by the day or week for Xcode builds during a busy period. Record your code, dependencies and toolchain versions, export build artifacts when the work is done, and let the rental expire.

HK
Signing certificatesHong Kong locationfastlane uploads

Keep release builds in one place

Keep signing certificates and your fastlane workflow on a Hong Kong machine, so App Store release builds use the same environment. Manage system accounts and file access by team role. Before returning the machine, back up certificates, scripts and any artifacts you need to keep.

Locations

4 locations. Pick the one closest to you.

Every city offers both M4 configurations on dedicated physical machines. These round-trip latency ranges can help you narrow down your choice, but they don’t replace testing from your own network.

FAQ

Have questions? Start here.

Get the details on usage, pricing and rental expiry before choosing a machine.

Can I use a Mac mini as a server?

Yes. MiniSSH provides a dedicated Mac mini M4 with full access to the macOS desktop and command line. Common uses include remote development, continuous builds and App Store submissions. Connect over SSH; the machine isn’t a virtual machine shared with other customers.

How much does a Mac mini rental cost?

Pay in advance by the day, week, month or quarter. Prices are in USD. MiniSSH M4 Core: $20.8/day, $56.1/week, $103.9/month or $282.6/quarter. MiniSSH M4 Plus: $41.2/day, $111.1/week, $205.8/month or $559.8/quarter. Storage and daisy-chain add-ons are priced separately.

What happens when my rental expires?

Billing stops and the machine is reclaimed. There’s no cancellation fee or outstanding balance. Check expiry reminders in the console and back up your code, certificates, configuration and build artifacts beforehand. Don’t use a reclaimed machine to store files.

Can I add another machine mid-project?

Yes. Add another machine to the same project in the console. It has its own billing period and is usually ready in about 4 minutes. Keep your year-round machine for daily development and use the extra one for peak builds; let the temporary rental expire when the work is done.
